Home Theater Seating Sales Soar in a Down Economy

It comes as no surprise that entertainment is costly to American consumers. Amusement parks, live theater, restaurant dining, concerts, bars and nightlife, foreign and domestic travel – activities that have become some of this country’s favorite pastimes are luxuries that cost a pretty penny. Relaxation and enjoyment outside the home has become a burden for many households’ finances in the wake of the recent economic recession, so many are turning to the only logical thing left to do for entertainment – staying home.

21st century home entertainment is undoubtedly centered on electronics and media. From the internet to music CDs and MP3s; computer and console gaming to films on DVD, a wealth of home-based entertainment options is already at the fingertips of most Americans. Because of the increased amount of time we are spending indoors, this is also where our entertainment dollars are going. Consumers are taking to the idea of creating their own entertainment havens in larger numbers than ever before.

$10-$25 for a DVD that can be enjoyed time and again is a much better budgetary option for a family of 4-5 rather than a movie at a theater considering ticket prices can be in excess of $10 for a single showing at a major cinema. Pitted against the high cost over time of even just one or two monthly visits to a public theater, staying home for a movie is the route to take.

Interior Express offers leather home theater seating at pricing that sits well with consumers who love to have a good time but are now trying to get more out of their hard-earned dollars. Customers calling to purchase discount home theater seating often explain their plans to have parties in their homes for events such as movie nights, sports marathons, and even video gaming. A growing trend is women who enjoy getting together with their friends to watch weekly episodes of Lost and Project Runway, among many others. Men seem to be especially attracted to home theater seating with football season upon us and the Super Bowl quickly approaching.

More and more people find entertainment options at home, a sign that consumer habits are indeed changing in the wake of this recession. If you are among the many budget-minded consumers looking to recreate a theater experience at home, see the affordable collection of Home Theater Seating at http://www.interiorexpress.com/?utm_source=Blogspot&utm_medium=HT%2BPR&utm_content=HT%2BSales%20Soar&utm_campaign=Blogspot%2BHT%20Article.

New Pictures Coming!

I've hired a photographer that is an expert in lighting to take about 40 new photos for our website. I've never been that happy with our pictures to begin with but every year or so I try and come up with a different way of taking pictures or hire a new photographer or buy new accessories.

We have gotten better over the years but most of the comments we get from customers are "your pictures look terrible, we were so surprised how nice the piece was when we got it." After hearing that a few times, I just start to feel embarrassed that we are doing a lousy job representing our own furniture line. After all, a large part of our business is selling online and what my partner and I always said is that we have to ship an incredible product at an incredible price or everyone is going to ship the product back to you if they think they got junk. So essentially what we have been doing is selling an awesome product with the best quality through lousy pictures and lousy descriptions. I'm going to fix that this year.

If you didn't know, and if we didn't explain it to you well before, there are not that many large manufacturers of furniture in the world. There are even less people that do new designs. The factories we buy from (we are a pretty decent sized business) also supply companies like Crate and Barrel and West Elm so we really piggy back on the great quality that they demand. We just follow along in their footsteps.

On a personal level, I'm hoping our Home Theater Seating pictures turn out great. We have what I feel is the best quality product but we haven't been able to really make that clear to you, our customers. I promise to make it better.

Home Theater Room

More and more people start talking about having a home theater room or media room in their houses. I have seen some REALLY nice home theater room pictures. Well, you do not neccessarily need to go hard-core on this, but it is actually not that difficult or costly to have a comfortable movie room.

There are affordable options out there to accommodate every need. It just requires you to learn where to find them. While some people choose regular couches and home seating for their home theaters, you can find home theater seating for the same price when you know where and how to shop around.

This is why it pays to plan your home theater and choose the right seating options. The seating completes the entire package.

Bathroom

Ok so we've discussed kitchen and living room now its time for the bathroom.

Many bathrooms don't have windows so adding light by decorating in vivid saturated colors is a breath of fresh air. Removing clutter is also a good way to freshen and bring openess into a space. Design a shower caddy to make a place for everything -- hanging up and out of the way. And don't forget about your bath wear. A cute and comfy, light coverup is perfect for spring. Put that heavy bathrobe away and lighten up!

Some good choices

LIVING ROOM

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the economy is everyone’s mind. So in addition to sprucing up your home with new neutral walls and adding to your already existing neutral furniture in your living room you can add color with your accessories.

Yellow accents: With vases and pillows this pop of color brightens up any room.

Teal greens and blues: add this color through Art or pillows

Shades of purple and red for those who are confident can use them as a go-to color. The timid will tone them down to secondary hues combined with earth tones or taupe-grays, for a softer sophisticated look.

Kitchen

Yesterday I mentioned trying out a neutral wall as and expensive alternative to redecorating. Once you have your neutral walls you probably notice you have some neutral basic furniture such as a brown sofa or beige chairs. If not here are some suggestions.

Now with the basics you can incorporate color by adding throws, pillows, or a grouping of accent vases in one of the new colors of the season. It's a pretty outlook for spring 2009 on the home decor front. The color palette includes fresh blues, bright pinks and cheerful yellows, as well as clean whites. Patterns are playful and some are romantic. It's the season of change and renewal ...

Today let’s start with the Kitchen:

Since this is where you spend so much of your time, it's the perfect space to make vibrant, bold changes for the season. Hand towels, rugs, hot pads, toaster cozy -- over time all become dingy and used looking -- with splashy new pieces your daily work zone becomes clean and brand new again.

Try these options for adding color:

One way to accomplish inexpensive re-decorating in your home is to paint your walls a new color. This season the top colors are all neutral colors. Neutral colors will add a clean and fresh backdrop to your home decor and furnishings. .

The top neutral colors for this spring are

White
Green

Spring Cleaning

It’s that time of year, spring!

Spring cleaning is that yearly tradition of cleaning the house from top to bottom. Time to put away those items no longer needed and time to freshen up our homes and rejuvenate the interior. Say goodbye to winter and say hello to a wonderfully revived home.
Here are the top 5 strategies to spring cleaning your home:

1st Clean out the garage before you begin working on the rest of the home. Pick an area for things you don’t need any more. Once you have uncluttered inside the house, sell or donate what you don't need or want. Have a garage sale, or contact your local furniture bank and give to those in need.

2nd before packing away your winter clothes sort through them and discard or donate the ones you don't need any more. Then create a practical and simple storage system for items you want to keep. There is bonus to creating a system. You may not need a major cleanup next year! Invest in storage solutions to contain the items. Try using storage ottomans for your bulky winter items. Not only are they good for storage but they be used for extra seating in a bedroom. You can also buy beds, tables, and many other pieces of furniture that do double duty and help you keep clutter out of sight.

Next before you put your winter bedding away, make sure everything is clean. Bring out or buy lighter bedclothes for spring. Again, discard or donate what you don’t plan to use next year. Places like Target, Potterybarn, Crate and Barrel have wonderful selections for spring bedding.

Next clean the interior of the home. Wash windows and check drapes and window treatments. Move furniture and vacuum beneath it up any dust that has collected over the winter; send dirty drapes to the cleaners. Now is a good time to steam clean any carpets or rugs. This is also a good time to clean your upholstery. And if needed to reupholster, repurpose or repair any piece of furniture that is beginning to look shabby. Check into the new spring colors for your homes interior.
And finally it’s time to take a look at the outdoor furniture as you will be using it soon. Inspect, clean and complete any needed repairs.

Have a wonderful spring!

New Start

Hello all, my name is Jennifer and I am passionate about all things fashionable. Everything from what I wear to the interior decor of my home. This is not to say I am interior decorator or a fashion expert, I just simply have a passion for learning about upcoming trends and new styles even those that may not fit into my particular taste. My vision is a simple one and it is reflected in both my clothes and my home. I prefer neutrals white black, beige, gray and brown with hints of color, yellow, red, blues and berry tones. If I had to categorize my fashion style it would be simple uptown chic for clothing and at home a casual comfort and effortless style similar to Potterybarn or Crate and Barrel. My approach to my home decorating is to create a warm and inviting place, rooms full of light and comfortable furniture. On this blog I will chat about the home and any cleaning or styling tips I come across though out my day. I hope you come and visit often.
